Biden Makes Awkward Announcement During Briefing On LA Wildfires

President Joe Biden, days from leaving office, became a great-grandfather on Wednesday when his granddaughter Naomi gave birth in Los Angeles. Biden, 82, shared the “good news” during a briefing on wildfires ravaging California, which have caused billions in damages and claimed two lives.

“I’ll remember this day for a lot of reasons,” Biden said at a Santa Monica fire station but declined to address questions about federal policies contributing to the disaster. The New York Post reported that Hunter Biden’s Malibu home was spared despite initial concerns. Biden visited Cedars-Sinai Hospital for the birth before the briefing.

Meanwhile, a resurfaced clip of Donald Trump on the Joe Rogan Experience criticizing California’s fire and water management has gone viral. Trump condemned environmental policies prioritizing the delta smelt, a small fish, over forest maintenance and water management. He argued better policies could have prevented the ongoing devastation. On Truth Social, Trump criticized Gov. Gavin Newsom for rejecting measures that could have redirected water to mitigate fire risks, calling the decision a “catastrophic failure.”
