Caputo recalled that despite strong evidence, his story was overshadowed by a misleading Politico headline labeling the Hunter Biden laptop story as “Russian disinfo.”
Other outlets, like CNN, were also accused of suppressing stories. Leaked audio from CNN’s top executives instructed staff to avoid covering the Hunter Biden laptop story. Journalists, including former Politico reporter Tara Palmeri, shared that their reporting on Hunter Biden’s legal issues was delayed, with some speculating it would have been published sooner if it involved the Trump family.
